Biography:
Dr Joanna Karasiewicz studied Chemistry at the Adam Mickiewicz University Poznan, Poland. She received her PHD degree in 2013 at the same institution. In 2015, she completed a postdoc internship in the group of Prof. Rhetta Kempe at the University of Bayreuth, Germany. At present Dr Karasiewicz is employed as a Assistant Professor in the Department of Silicon Compounds Chemistry and Technology, Faculty of Chemistry UAM. From the beginning of her career her research activities have been concentrated on application aspects, which is reflected in a number of patents, publications and participation in research projects. She is currently a project master of the research project of implementation potential entitled: ”An effective method of production of a coating based on bifunctional organosilicon compounds protecting against biological corrosion”.
