Fullerene C60
A carbon allotrope compound known as buckminsterfullerene or C60 fullerene oil. C60 was the first carbon fullerene identified outside of the well-known graphite, graphene, diamond, and charcoal carbon allotropes, and it was initially discovered in 1980 by Japanese scientist Sumio Iijima. The buckministerfullerene molecules, sometimes known as "buckyballs," are recognised under an electron microscope by their spherical forms, which are supposed to mimic the balls used in European football (North American soccer). A C60 molecule is specifically shaped as a truncated icosahedron, with sixty vertices and 90 edges, twenty hexagonal faces, twelve pentagonal faces, and twelve pentagonal faces.
